Aroma Diffusers: Alabaster

These beautiful aroma diffusers are carved from white alabaster with a separate black dish on top. They are 3 3/4 inches high and the black dish is approximately 3 inches wide. They use a tea light candle for warmth. We recommend regular beeswax tealight candles, which can be purchased here. These alabaster aroma diffusers are hand-carved from India and are unique, due to the artistry of the carver. The stone also has lovely variations of color running through the white stone. TIP: Instead of filling the small reservoir with water, use beeswax or leftover pieces of natural, unscented candle wax, or chunks of salt. The wax lasts a very long time (days/weeks) and you don't have to worry about water evaporating too fast.

How to Use a Candle Aromatherapy Diffuser

To use a candle diffuser, place the diffuser on a safe platform that can tolerate heat, away from anything flammable. Fill the bowl (reservoir) with water to the top. Add a few drops of your favorite, pure essential oil or a blend of pure essential oils. Place the tea light inside the diffuser or on the lower platform and light the candle. Never leave a candle diffuser un-attended. Do not let the bowl run dry with a candle lit underneath. Carefully add more water and drops of essential oils over time, if you like. Tea lights can last several hours. Blow out the candle when you are finished enjoying your Aromatherapy Diffuser.

Use only pure essential oils with your diffuser, by the drop. Typically 5-20 drops of one or several pure essential oils can be used, depending on the size of the room, the type of oils, and the therapeutic affect desired. For example, you might use only one drop of an essential oil like Neroli, because the fragrance is very powerful. On the other hand, you might use several drops of Rosemary or Eucalyptus for health reasons. Other types of "fragrances", like tarts, scented waxes, perfumes, or fragrance oils are usually synthetic, or made out of chemicals, artificial, or inferior products, which means there in no therapeutic value.

Tip: If you use distilled water in your candle diffuser, there won't be as much build-up of mineral deposits in the water dish over time. Tap water is fine though.

How to Care for your Candle Aromatherapy Diffuser

Keep the reservoir filled with water when you are actively warming your water/essential oil blend. This prevents the essential oils and water minerals from condensing and sticking to the reservoir. When your candle diffuser has cooled, gently wash out the bowl with soapy water.You should always hand wash your diffuser. Should you accidentally let the reservoir run dry with a candle lit beneath it, DO NOT ADD WATER. It may cause the reservoir to crack. Blow out the candle and wait until the bowl has cooled before adding more water and essential oils.

CAUTION: Please read these instructions carefully before use.

Place your aromatherapy diffuser on a heat-resistant surface, away from curtains and other flammable materials.

Blow out candles before leaving room.

NEVER leave a burning candle un-attended.

Keep diffuser out of reach of children and pets.

Check burning candles periodically for problems.

Allow candles and diffusers to cool thoroughly before handling.

Always use a tea light candle, NOT a votive candle with your aromatherapy diffuser.
